Who We Are
Petrel Resources is an Irish based exploration and production company with a focus on Southern Iraq and neighboring countries. The Company was founded in 1980’s, and moved from London’s Ofex Market to the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in August 2000.
Petrel is a company with a specific objective of becoming an Iraqi oil producer. We have had a presence in Baghdad for years and have successfully build a strong Iraqi and international team and negotiated with the Iraqi Oil Ministry including the first and largest contract awarded since 2003.
Petrel’s shares are quoted on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange (symbol: PET). The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Regional offices are established in Baghdad and London.
